ACTIVITIES

MEDIEVAL TOWS OF PALS AND PERATALLADA
Pals has a historic center on a hill surrounded by plains with a medieval Romanesque tower built between the llth and l3th centuries, known as the Torre de les Hores. The Gothic Quarter of the town has been substantially restored and there are cobbled streets interrupted by semicircular arches, façades with pointed arched windows and stone balconies. The town wall contains four square towers which date from the 4th century.
The privately owned Castle of Peratallada is the dominant structure in the center of the town, with a l3th-century Romanesque church dedicated to Sant Esteve outside the town walls. The castle has been documented as early as l065 AD and it was restored as a luxury hotel in the l960s. During restoration, traces of settlement were found that date back to the Bronze Age. Stroll through the streets of the towns and enjoy the art and antique stores. Enjoy tapas at the restaurant D.o. Candelaria in Pals and traditional food at L² Eixida in Peratallada.

GIRONA
It is a must visit in the area with its ancient cathedral, which stood on the site of the present one, was used by the Moors as a mosque, and after their final expulsion was either entirely remodeled or rebuilt. The Barri Vell and the Girona Cathedral have been the set of several films, e.g. The Monk and episode 10 of season 6 of game of Thrones. The old fortifications are another popular sight. girona has a station for the high-speed train AVE and an airport with flights to several European destinations. All of these are creations of the Roca brothers, world-renowned chefs. The Massana restaurant is higjly recommended as well.
CAMÍ DE RONDA
The origins are in the l9th century when it was formed from small footpaths through the cliffs along the coast of Catalonia. This hiking path follows the coastline of Costa Brava and has different paths that enjoy breathtaking views and allow access to small coves in the way. My favorite part of the hiking path includes the one starting at the Hostal La Gavina in S’Agaro and continue to Sa Conca beach. Another great hiking path include the one from the main beach in Sant Antoni de Calonge near the house starting in Torre Valentina to Cala Cristus.

The town’s most significant feature is its 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluviá river, which features a gateway at its midpoint. The church of Sant Pere was consecrated in 1003.
